Carlos Sainz Jr., Williams (P10) 8/10
Sainz was absolutely buzzing after the Grand Prix, despite only finishing in tenth place. But it was circumstances surrounding this result that made it such an achievement for the Spaniard. He started in last on the grid after both Williams were disqualified after qualifying, but gradually climbed into the top ten by staying out for a long while on his medium tyres. He fell back near the foot of the field after pitting with just over ten laps remaining, and used his fresh sticky tyres to maximum effect to somehow scythe his way back into P10 right at the very end. What a drive from Sainz.

Oliver Bearman, Haas (P9) 7/10
In complete contrast to Sainz’ race, Bearman’s Singapore Grand Prix was a rather relaxed affair. He was comfortably in the top ten in the opening phases despite almost losing control of his Haas after contact with Hadjar on the first lap. He pitted earlier than many of those around him and was stuck behind the likes of Sainz and Stroll for a number of laps, but was able to show off his strong pace once released to cross the line comfortably in P9.
