Valtteri Bottas - DNF - 6/10
Bottas had struggled in qualifying and dropped out in Q2, but starting from 11th with freedom to choose tyres looked likely to be beneficial with the ultrasoft tyre not lasting for many laps at the start of the race. Started on a new set of ultrasofts and jumped Massa with a strong move at Turn 11, but a few laps later reported the car was bouncing a lot and when he pit to have the issue looked at it was discovered he had a rear suspension failure.
