It was another tough going for the hard luck French racer, who had been best of the rest right up until putting his Haas into the barrier in Q3. On lap one, he veered left into Ocon and when asked about it he angrily claimed Leclerc had squeezed him from the right - a move Romain was the only one to see! A few runs over the Paul Ricard kerbs took their toll on the VF-18. Another chance for points that Grosjean let slip through his driving gloves.
