Lewis Hamilton - 7th place, 6 points - 8/10
Hamilton was always up against it starting from the back of the grid through no fault of his own after an ERS problem in qualifying, and the perils of such a position were displayed at Turn 1. After a strong start, Hamilton was hit by Felipe Nasr who was swerving to avoid Raikkonen as he returned to the track. As if the broken front wing wasn’t bad enough, it then folded under the car to damage the floor and cost Hamilton more downforce. The damage wasn’t noticeable against slower cars as he carved his way back in to the top ten - passing Valtteri Bottas with a robust move in to Turn 9 - but once he reached fifth he was unable to hold off both Ricciardo and Raikkonen.
