From Friday Grosjean was complaining about the handling of his car, with a potential suspension issue being detected after qualifying but too late to make changes. His race was effectively ruined at the start after contact with Ericsson - for which Grosjean was blameless as he took to the grass trying to avoid - damaged his front wing and forced him to fit the new, less effective front wing as a replacement.
