Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes (P6) 7/10
Antonelli barely put a foot wrong throughout the Grand Prix, but he simply didn’t have the pace in his Mercedes to challenge for anything better than sixth position. Nevertheless it was an assured drive from the Italian teenager, who kept his W16 on the track as chaos unfolded around him on the first few laps of the race. Bearman's Haas blocked his path, but outshining Russell is no joke. A tidy job overall.

Oscar Piastri, McLaren (P5) 5/10
While Piastri didn’t have such a bad race, one cannot ignore just how far off he was compared to his McLaren teammate in Mexico. The Australian looked lost at sea for much of the weekend, only coming alive in the latter stages of the Grand Prix when he realised he could salvage a few extra points in his Championship battle with Norris. The late VSC might have prevented him from gaining yet another place, but either way when you’re over 40 seconds behind someone in the same car as you by the end of the race, there's no denying that you've had a bad weekend.
