F1i Driver Ratings for the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix

Oliver Bearman, Haas (P4) 10/10

Never has the Driver of The Day moniker been more deserved than at the Mexico City Grand Prix for Bearman. From P9 on the grid, the young Briton surged to P6 on Lap 1, nicked P4 off Verstappen and Russell’s drama, and then held it against a pack of heavy hitters, which in a Haas is like pulling off a heist in broad daylight. All afternoon, most expected the Haas to fade like a cheap T-shirt. But Ollie said, "Not today" as he put together his defensive masterclass. A bronze statue in the Haas garage might be in order.

Max Verstappen, Red Bull (P3) 8/10

Starting on the medium compound tyre should have been an inferior strategy, but Max is Max and he can muster a great result under almost any circumstance. Other drivers struggled for pace on the yellow-walled rubber, but Verstappen put in consistently good lap times to keep himself in contention, then upped the ante after pitting for the faster soft tyre. A late Virtual Safety Car robbed fans of a Verstappen-Leclerc showdown, but P3 was still a reflection's of Max's wizardry and a reminder of why he's still the benchmark.
