Barcelona - Sainz fans stake their claim
Carlos Sainz' good genes means he was born to race. The Spaniard has yet to secure his first podium finish, but there's no doubting his abundant talent. With Fernando Alonso moving on to new pastures next season, Sainz will pick up the mantle of his departed master as Spain's representative in F1.
"Most of the time during a race weekend, we have our back turned to the grandstands," says our snapper. "But there can be a lot going on visually, especially in the areas where all the fans of a specific driver are grouped together.
"Barcelona obviously brought out a massive wave of Sainz supporters, and I can tell you they were loud and impassioned, cheering him on every single lap. It adds to the color and it's great for the atmosphere, especially as Carlos delivered on that day a points-scoring finish on home turf."
