F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Singapore GP

Lance Stroll (P13): 6/10
It was pretty much business as usual for Lance Stroll this weekend, which is to say that he once again exited qualifying at the end of Q1 after glancing the wall and then failed to score any points in the race itself having started from 16th place. But that's an oversimplification of his eventful weekend, because he also had some strong moments on Sunday. A long first stint on medium tyres put him up into fifth place by the middle of the race before his scheduled pit stop dropped him back to where he began. Even so there was still a chance that he could work his way back into the top ten in the laps remaining, until he made a mistake at one of the safety car restarts while battling Pierre Gasly. He thumped the wall at turn 17 on lap 40, causing a puncture to the Racing Point's left front tyre that forced him to make an emergency call to pit lane for a new nose. Even so he was able to regain five positions over the course of the remaining 18 laps, suggesting that without that unfortunate mishap he really might have made it into the points this week.
