Kevin Magnussen - 14th place - 7/10

There was only really one more place up for grabs for Magnussen, as he followed a similar strategy to team-mate Palmer and was relatively close behind him on the road. Magnussen started on the hard tyre so progress was somewhat harder to come by after he dropped behind Ericsson at the start, and Palmer’s first stint on mediums showed good life, leading Renault to pit both on the same lap. The stop jumped him ahead of the Sauber but as he was second on the road he then started losing time in blue flags a few laps before Kvyat who he was trying to catch.
