F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Belgian GP

Carlos Sainz (Retired, Lap 2): 6.5/10
There was little birthday cheer for Carlos Sainz, who barely featured in Sunday's race. First left stranded on the grid by an engine glitch, Sainz made an emergency pit stop only to grind to a halt agains soon after forcing him to park the MCL34 out on track having completed just a single lap. He had been unable to even try to overcome his hefty grid drop for power unit component changes. None of that was Sainz' fault, but it was the conclusion of a weekend that had been sliding inexorably in the wrong direction through each successive practice and qualifying session at Spa. Distinctly outclassed this week by his rookie team mate, there wasn't much for him to celebrate as he turned 25.
