Kevin Magnussen (Retired, Lap 43): 7.5/10
There's never a dull moment when Kevin Magnussen is about, and he certainly found himself in some lively situations again in Monza this weekend. He didn't trouble the top ten in any of the practice sessions but was only a tenth away from making it through to the final round of qualifying on Saturday afternoon. Eventually starting from 11th place, Magnussen soon found himself locked in entertaining combat with Alexander Albon and Daniil Kvyat during the early stages of the race. Later on there were further battles with Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll. Having made it into the top ten, a lock-up at the first chicane cost him a bunch of positions and the final stage saw him running in 15th place having been lapped by the leaders, before a hydraulics problem kicked in and forced Magnussen to bring the car into the Haas garage to retire with ten laps remaining.
