Struggling in sector three with rear-end instability in the slow corners, he wasn’t able to join Grosjean in Q3. But Kevin picked up two positions at the start to put the Force Indias in his sight. A fast stop combined with a sub-par tyre swap for Perez slotted K-Mag in between the pink pair. The Dane was on his way to salvaging two points for the American squad in its battle with Renault before he was excluded for using 0.1kg more than the allwoed fuel amount. Rules are rules, but come on!
