F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Canadian GP

Alexander Albon (Retired, Lap 59): 6/10
It just never really happened for Alexander Albon this weekend. Clocking in around 14th fastest for most of the sessions, it meant that he started the race toward the back of the crowded midfield which is precisely where the jostling at the start can lead to small but significant accidents. Sure enough he ended up clipping his front wing on the back of Sergio Perez' car which forced him to make a premature pit stop at the end of the first lap, dropping him all the way to the back and trying to use a single set of hard tyres to go the distance. If Toro Rosso hadn't decided to call it a day with 11 laps to go, he would likely have finished in 16th place. While not exactly a bad performance by Albon, it was certainly disappointing given his previous outings so far in 2019.
