F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Canadian GP

Sergio Perez (P12): 6/10
Sergio Perez' practice pace looked pretty decent and certainly good enough to make it through to the final round of qualifying, so it was a genuine shock to see him among those drivers eliminated at the end of Q1 along with his Racing Point team mate, local hero Lance Stroll. Perez accepted the blame for failing to maximise the car's single lap pace and vowed to do better in the race itself where he quickly picked up three places off the grid despite early contact with Alexander Albon. From there he peaked in eighth position, but his pit stop on lap 11 dropped him back into traffic from which he was never able to free himself. He spent the entire second half of the race trundling around in 12th place and had to watch as Stroll succeeded in clinching two points for the team.
