Fernando Alonso - DNF - 7/10
Alonso pulled out a good lap in qualifying to take a McLaren to Q3 for the first time since Honda returned as engine supplier, but his work was undone with a poor start which left him behind team-mate Jenson Button. Unable to find a way past, Alonso was closing in on newer tyres when a loss of power forced his retirement when at least a few points were on offer.
